[Q & A]

Q. Is everything antique?

A. The majority of our stock is 18th & 19th century French antique furniture with some items from the 20th Century as well. In France, and I think it is a good rule of thumb, an item has to be at least 100 years old before it is classified as an antique. For items from the 20th Century, I would classify them as ‘vintage' or ‘collectables' and identify them as such in my listings.

Q.
Do you have a shop where I can view your items?

A. I sell a selection of my items through Arteforge at 51 Collie St, Fyshwick, in Canberra. Their hours are Tues - Fri 10am - 4pm and Sat 10am - 2pm. Ph (02) 6162-1925.

Q.
Can you help me find and source a specific item?

A. Yes, I can do this or certainly try! I just need some specific details on what you are after. You can email me to discuss.

Q.
Where do you source your items from?

A. Mainly from France but I also find pieces in Australia.

Q. Do you arrange delivery?

A. Yes but the buyer is responsible for delivery charges and insurance. I can provide you with a quote based on your item of interest and delivery address.

Q. Do you offer lay-by?

A. Yes I do but I consider this on a case by case basis. A 2 month lay-by period with a 25% deposit to secure the item can be offered. Please contact me to arrange this.

Q. How can I pay?

A. For Australian customers I accept cash, cheque (funds have to clear before goods are shipped), Visa, MasterCard, direct Bank Deposit or Pay Pal. For international customers, I accept Visa, MasterCard, direct Bank Deposit or Pay Pal.

Q. How can I find out in advance when a new shipment is due to arrive?

A. Ask to be added to my newsletter database which will keep you informed of new items.
